Regional artists set to raise money in honor of Harambe 

Black Mountain resident Lois Chazen isn't new to helping animals. She's written three books to raise money for various causes related to animal rescue. 

At 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, at the Isis Music Hall in Asheville, Chazen will be joined on stage by a cast of musicians from throughout the region and beyond to release an entirely new kind of project.

World Peace for Animals: CD release concert benefit with Artimus Pyle Sunday 

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Award-winning local and national artists collaborate to make a difference in the lives of the animals in a Saturday benefit show at the Isis Music Hall in Asheville.

The first CD is in memory of Harambe, the western lowland gorilla shot and killed after a 3-year-old boy fell into the Gorilla World exhibit at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden.
